Our History and Commitment
With decades of experience in groundwork and land development, we have grown into a company that understands the unique demands of modern agriculture. From our base in Gloucestershire, we’ve worked closely with local farmers and large-scale agricultural enterprises to help optimise productivity, improve sustainability, and adapt to the ever-evolving challenges of the agricultural sector.
Our mission is simple: to provide a service to aid farmers when they need it most. Whether it’s preparing fields for the next planting season, installing state-of-the-art drainage systems, or supporting conservation efforts, we deliver results that exceed expectations.
Steve Grindle
Managing Director Steve Grindle, has been involved with various aspects of farming since the tender age of 9. He grew up working on local farms before attending Hartpury Agricultural College to study Livestock and Crop production.
Steve has worked on a variety of farms including Dairy, Beef suckler, Contracting and Arable farms. Steve then transferred these skills as he moved into the building sector at the age of 20. In 2012 Steve set up SDG Groundwork Solutions LTD, which incorporated the two industries together.
In 2024 Steve made the decision to separate the two parts of the Company and SDG Agri LTD was formed! Steve’s extensive knowledge and determined work ethic mean SDG Agri LTD can be relied upon to provide support in all areas where needed.
When hiring employees for both businesses Steve ensures they meet the strict standards in order to keep up with the good reputation we have built up over the years.
